The third year of all three-year undergraduate programs carries zero tuition. You pay the published fee for year 1 and year 2 only. Hostel, mess, and uniform charges (if opted) are billed separately and are not covered by the third-year tuition waiver.
IATA — the International Air Transport Association — is the standards body for most of the world's airlines. The certification bundled in our programs is the same credential global carriers like Emirates, Singapore Airlines, and Qatar Airways check for on cabin crew CVs. Chennais Amirta is an IATA Authorised Training Centre, which means the certificate is issued under IATA's own framework.
On any campus visit during the admissions window, you can sit the 30-minute test on the same day. It covers aptitude, English fluency, and general awareness — no prior aviation knowledge required. Scoring is graded; awards range from ₹5,000 up to ₹30,000 on the first-semester fee, with cumulative awards over the program duration reaching ₹1,50,000 for top scorers.
The degree programs (B.Sc Air Transport, Bachelor in Aviation) require 12th pass, any stream. The diploma programs (Cabin Crew, Ground Ops, Airport Management) are open to anyone with a graduate degree in any discipline. Postgraduate programs require a 50% aggregate in graduation. Age, height, and medical fitness criteria are applied at the placement stage by individual airline recruiters, not at admission.
Chennais Amirta runs a 100% placement assistance program — every eligible graduate is presented to recruiting airlines and airport operators in our placement cycle. Final offers depend on the candidate's interview, medical clearance, and the airline's hiring window. The placement floor has run for the last decade without a year of zero placements.
The aviation training floor with IATA Authorised status is at the Bangalore campus. Hostel accommodation is offered on a separate fee schedule for students from outside Karnataka — including dedicated arrangements for women boarders. Your admissions advisor will walk you through the hostel and mess options on the call.
